Will you join us in partnering with area churches, synagogues, and organizations to feed families at Thanksgiving? We are counting on you to help us purchase and assemble food baskets. Please see the flyer to learn more. These baskets include: frozen turkey, stuffing mix, cranberry sauce, two cans vegetables, two cans fruit, potatoes, and a dessert such as cake mix and frosting or brownies and optional beverage. If you have any questions, please contact Anne McIlroy.
Dates to remember for the drive:
- Sunday, Nov. 12: children bring nonperishable food items to be presented during Children’s Time at 10 a.m. worship service.
- Thursday, Nov. 16: bring all non-perishable food for baskets to Westminster Hall
- Saturday, Nov. 18, at 9 a.m.: assembly of baskets (Westminster Hall)–volunteers welcome!
- Sunday, Nov. 19: agencies pick up baskets at North beginning at 9 a.m.
“What do I do with the frozen turkey I bought for this drive?” You may bring it to the church freezer (but please call first to see if we still have room); or you may store it in your own freezer up until 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19, at which time you should make sure your bird is at North!
