Sunday School

Sunday School classes resumed on Sunday, September 12 at 10:15 a.m. for children and youth 4 years old through 8th grade.  Sunday school meets in the North Basement (directly under Westminster Hall) in N109.  Children are invited to learn a Bible story and engage in an activity which emphasizes more creative learning through crafts, music, and food.

New this Fall – We will be using a purchased curriculum from the Presbyterian Church USA store called Follow Me.  Follow Me instructs on 36 Biblical practices with each practice divided into 3-4 classes that can cover over 3 years of class time.   We will be starting with Follow Jesus and Welcome All practices.  According to Katie Snyder, certified Christian educator, curriculum specialist and point coordinator for the PC USA Store, “practices are defined as what Jesus did, said and embodied, the things that Christians have routinely done over the centuries”.  Ms. Snyder also stated that many educators now believe that “behaving (practicing) leads to belonging, which in turn leads to believing”. This YouTube video provides a great overview of the program:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IY2WsitU_xE.
