The youth group offers fun activities, like a pizza party or a retreat, and also participates in mission work in and around Buffalo throughout the year. Join us for these activities, and invite your friends! Please contact Mack Barker with questions.
Lock-In, Part 2
So many of you enjoyed our last lock-in at UPC that we’d like to do it again, this time at North. We’ll have all the usual movies, games, snacks, and I’m sure there will be several more rounds of sardines (though perhaps not as scary of a basement.) We’re looking at the possibility of the lock-in over Memorial Day weekend – either Friday night, May 26, or Sunday night, May 28. Please let me know if this weekend works for you- I know a lot of families go on vacation that weekend, so if too many of you are away, we’ll do it another weekend. Otherwise, plan for a Memorial Day weekend lock-in with your youth group!
As the weather gets warmer, so too comes opportunity to do things outdoors. Some events we’re looking at doing this summer include putt-putt mini golf, a Bisons baseball game, and possibly a mission/recreation day in Niagara Falls- among others! If there’s something you’d like to do, don’t hesitate to ask!’
Montreat Youth Conference
July 22 – 30
In June, everyone from our Presbytery attending the Montreat Youth Conference will gather at the Youngstown Presbyterian Church for orientation and to meet the other folks going. This is where permission forms and releases, packing lists, covenants, and related information will be handed out, so it’s important that you attend! (For those that went to Triennium, this will be similar to the gatherings we had last summer.) We’re still working to finalize a date, but as soon as I have it, I’ll let you know here.
Montreat is a unique gathering of high schoolers (entering freshmen through graduating seniors) from all over the country for a week of study, worship, and recreation. Activities include morning energizers, music, keynote, small group meetings, afternoon recreation activities, and evening worship. For more information, check out www.montreat.org/youth5.
