Carol Suckow was chosen to be a voting delegate at the triennial church-wide gathering of Presbyterian Women in Orlando, Fla., from July 18-22. “River of Hope” served as the convention’s theme, developed by such people as Nancy Benson-Nicol, author of this year’s PW Bible study “Dispatches to God’s Kingdom.”
At the gathering Carol studied the issues that required her vote and absorbed the beauty of the convention hall and exhibits. Especially meaningful was her visit to Beth-El Farmworkers, which received major financial support from the convention.
Ask her about it! We are very fortunate to have her serving as a cluster leader on the PW/WNY coordinating team. She’s already putting aside savings to attend the next triennial in Minnesota in 2015.
