Our mission programs make a meaningful difference both locally and around the world by supporting local, regional, national, international, ecumenical, and interfaith initiatives. While the Deacons focus primarily on local and regional outreach, the Advocacy and Outreach Committee addresses national and global concerns.

The Advocacy and Outreach Committee identifies, supports, and coordinates mission and outreach initiatives, encourages members to volunteer and engage in service opportunities, and works alongside the Deacons and the Hunger Initiative to oversee the distribution of Pentecost and Christmas Offerings.

The Hunger Initiative supports a variety of projects that address food insecurity in our community. These initiatives include preparing and serving a monthly meal at Friends of Night People, making regular donations to local food pantries, and organizing the annual Turkey Basket Project to provide Thanksgiving meals for families in need.
