Investing in our Greatest Resource

Young people are our future and our greatest resource. The Pentecost Offering is unique in that congregations direct a large share of the collection to local ministries benefiting youth at risk.

The Mission Committee has selected Plymouth Crossroads to be the recipient of the local portion of the 2016 offering. Plymouth Crossroads offers transitional housing for young men who have no other support system. On May 1, we will have a visit from staff members of Plymouth Crossroads. They will share information about the very important work they are doing and will join us for coffee hour with stories and further information.

Another program receiving support is the Youth Triennium, which will be held again this summer. Many youth from our congregation have participated in Triennium. This year the Pentecost Offering will be taken on May 8.
