How healthy is your relationship? October is domestic violence awareness month and many victims of abuse are unaware how dangerous and devastating these relationships can be to them and to their children. But every day, thanks to the Family Justice Center and its 13 outstanding partner agencies, clients secure everything they need to escape and live lives free of abuse. A coalition of churches and community groups here in the north towns have been busy this year creating a Family Justice Center satellite office in Williamsville next to North Presbyterian Church on North Forest Rd. The grand opening ceremony is scheduled for November 9. The community is invited.
Meantime, volunteers and funding are still needed to make this effort shine! Please think about ways your time, talent and treasure might assist our small-but-spirited staff and our skilled, passionate partners who cater to the hundreds and hundreds of victims banking on us to hold their abusers accountable, guide them through the courts, secure housing, safety and counsel, and provide medical assistance and protection from future violence.
There is absolutely no way we can keep up this life-saving work without you. If you haven’t been in for a tour, please check tour dates on our website and bring as many friends as you can round up. We love to show off our agency and we promise you’ll be dazzled in the less than one hour it takes to see and hear what goes on behind our doors.
