At its April meeting, the Session approved the purchase of new hymnals for North. The new hymnal, “Glory to God,” will include traditional hymns as well as more contemporary songs and international music to be used in worship and other places and is being published by the PC(USA). The new books will replace the current blue hymnals as well as the black song books that we use.

Starting next week, everyone will be given an opportunity to dedicate one of the new hymnals in memory of or in honor of someone special. The cost for this dedication is $20.00 and will include a dedication bookplate. Everyone is also invited to make a contribution to this wonderful project. In addition, anyone who has previously dedicated a hymnal will have the opportunity to take that book home.

Also, we will be holding an old fashioned hymn-sing and potluck supper on Thursday, May 23, at 6pm. This family event (Sing for Your Supper!) will be a chance for fellowship, fun, and fortissimos! Donations and dedications will be accepted at the event, too! If you have any questions, see a member of the worship committee.
