Turkey Basket Report

We, along with Temple Beth Zion and Shir Shalom, want to thank all of you who supported our Turkey Basket Project! Once again, we were able to give 513 turkeys and bags of foods to needy families in the area.

We are also very grateful to Williamsville East High School, who not only donated 2,000 items of food, but also donated 100 turkeys this year, so that we only had to purchase 275 from Wegmans. Amherst Presbyterian Church donated 363 cans of cranberry sauce and Christ United Methodist Church donated 357 items that we needed for our turkey baskets. Presbyterian Village again gave us financial support and several Girl Scout Troops also collected food and turkeys for us. We also thank our corporate sponsors, which include Tops Markets, Wegmans, Dashs Markets, Walmart , Aldis and Target for their donations. A special thanks goes to Tops Markets (Main and Union), which donated $500.00 worth of gift cards that enabled us to purchase 300 cake mixes and 200 cans of fruit, which we needed to complete our baskets. As you can see, this is truly a community effort!

So again, thanks to all of you who helped us with this project by giving financial support, helping pick up and transport food and helping to put the baskets together. We wish all of you a very blessed and peaceful holiday season.
