Your response to the request for winter coats, etc. was overwhelming! I have already taken 15 bags of coats, boot, hats and gloves to Journey’s End Refugee Services (JERS), and I will be taking another load of five or more bags tomorrow. Since I had taken another 12 bags last fall, I never expected such a response. On behalf of Journey’s End, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

JERS is currently resettling an average of 30 people each month. All come with just the clothes on their backs and a few bags from refugee camps located in climates warmer than Buffalo, so one of their very first needs is a warm coat. We have filled the need for adult coats for now, and JERS has no storage space. However, coats and snow pants for children and teens, boots, hats and gloves are still needed.
