Patricia A. Mohr is a registered nurse with over 20 years of Community Health experience.  She graduated from the State University of NY at Buffalo with a bachelor's degree in nursing, she has a certificate in Parish Nursing from Marquette University and a certificate in Pastoral Studies from Christ the King Seminary.  When she graduated from Marquette's Parish Nursing Program, she took the following oath:  "I, Patricia A. Mohr, as a Parish Nurse, commit myself to a healing ministry within a faith community.  Called by God to Christian stewardship, I will use all of my gifts to empower others to live life abundantly. Amen."  She has been married for 49 years and has three grown sons and four grandchildren.  She loves being a Parish Nurse and being part of North Presbyterian's church community.

The Parish Nurse Program is a holistic approach to health care, and promotes the view that the church is the congregation's "health" place. The Program is an expression of the Biblical mandate to "heal the sick," and the church is recognized as a healing agent that offers support and assistance to those in need.  Therefore, as a Parish Nurse, Pat Mohr functions as a health educator, counselor, organizer of health programs, and resource person, and she refers in partnership with appropriate community agencies, physicians, hospitals, and nursing homes. She works closely with the pastor, Director of Pastoral Care, the Pastoral Care Team, and the Board of Deacons to assist members with problems of health or home care. The Health and Wellness Committee of the Board of Deacons supports, advises, and monitors the Parish Nurse’s service and promotes health and wellness education. 

Blood pressure screenings are performed in the Fall, Winter, and Spring from 9:45am - 10:15 am and from 11:30am - noon on the third Sunday of the month.

Flu Shots are also administered in the late fall.
