The Institute prepares occasional policy briefs on Western New York (WNY) that are designed to frame issues and guide policy actions. The most recent brief, which is titled "The Regional Name Game," examines the variety of names that describes the WNY area and portrays some of the regional tendencies and identities of the area (e.g., commuting patterns and newspaper readership).
