Improving Housing

Work with Habitat for Humanity includes the first Saturday of every month, week-long summer projects in Buffalo, support of WomenBuild 2012 and WomenBuild 2010and sending workers to help rebuild the Gulf Coast post-Katrina, 2008-2010.
- As always, volunteers will be gathering the first Saturday of the month. We are working on March 3 (starting at 8:30am) at 351 Vermont Street, and we suggest that you drive south on Richmond and turn right onto Vermont (a one-way street). Our work site is about three blocks along and the site is on the left side of the street (opposite the Frank A. Sedita Academy).
- WomenBuild 2012 will be meeting at North Church on March 15 and April 19 at 7pm. Construction of the WomenBuild House will begin mid-May at 43 Guilford Street. Support to Homespace provides transitional living for single parent families.
Funding for TRY provides a structured environment to women who are homeless and have suffered from abuse, violence and victimization.
