Join with others from Western New York on 1 of 2 buses heading to Pittsburgh and back on June 30. We’ll join with Presbyterians from all over the country in the opening worship of the 220th General Assembly. After worship, take some time to wander in the Exhibit Hall and get a bite to eat. Reservations deadline is noon on Friday, June 15. Cost is $15 per person.

Get your reservations in early! We have to release the 2nd bus June 15 if we don’t need it.
(Actual cost is $27/person; Presbytery is supplementing the trip). The buses leave at 7:30am with a stop to pick up those of you further along the route to Pittsburgh. The buses will leave Pittsburgh at 5:15pm for the return trip. Locations for pick up and drop off will be determined based on rider location.

The well-appointed motor coaches are equipped with: a lavatory, temperature control, reclining seats, inside and underneath luggage compartments, cellular telephones and VHS or DVD players for your travel pleasure. This year the Pentecost Offering will be taken on Sunday, June 3. As one of the special collections of the Presbyterian Church (USA), it supports ministry to youth, Young Adult Volunteer (YAC) opportunities, and the General Assembly’s child advocacy programs. Forty percent of your gift stays locally. This year we have selected Camp Peaceprints to be our local recipient.

Camp Peaceprints is a summer day camp designed to introduce local youth (ages 8 to 13) to social justice, while providing them with peaceful conflict-resolution skills and exposure to a diverse community. It is run by the Sister Karen Klimczak Center for Nonviolence in Buffalo and is in its fifth year of operation. The camp includes guest presenters from the progressive community who are deeply involved and passionate about their work. Your participation will help by providing camper scholarships.
